Hello friends,

On a rainy day last March, we made what seemed like an impossible decision to cancel our eighth and final Claremont Pie Festival. Looking back, we know that our community would face many, many more difficult hurdles in the months ahead.

While we regret that we never got to host our final (and sure to be the best) Pie Festival, we are proud to have finished on a high-note. Our event grew from a few hundred attendees in 2013 to over 10,000 in 2019. It has been an honor to create an event dedicated to bakers, artisans and the people that love them with the help of a small, dedicated group of volunteers and some incredibly talented people.

Thank you to the vendors, artists, makers ’and bakers ’stage performers and entertainers who have participated. Thank you to our car enthusiasts, organizers, city employees and volunteers who worked tirelessly to help us put on the best possible event. Baking Contest entrants –you are our heroes! Your entries have been the highlight of the festival every year. Our pie judges are the best around too –we will miss them very much.

Thank you especially to our attendees, who came out every year to support the small business community and the art of pie making.

Our sponsors have been with us all the way and we love them for it. Thank you, Claremont Village Marketing Group, Claremont Escrow, I Like Pie Bake Shop, The Back Abbey and Hotel Casa 425.

If you have questions that are not answered in this communication or here on our website, please email   [email protected] .

We look forward to the next opportunity to gather as a community. Until then, please stay safe and take care of each other.

Warmly,

The Claremont Pie Festival Committee
